I was inspired by the cyclical nature of life, the way nothing is lost, always coming back in a new form. In this painting, a contemporary mansion is taken bit by bit by a black hole in the medieval times, restored as a citadel. One half is black and white to show the ending and the other half is in full color because the old bricks have a new life once more.
